Weekend (Tent only) Camping for over 21s – to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside
Welcome to Campfire Weekends, the weekend camping experience situated at Great Danegate Farm in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. We are a tent-only campsite.
For those seeking to escape to the country at the weekend, we aim to capture the essence of a good village pub on a campsite: a place where you can either enjoy your own space in a quiet corner or join in a lively conversation with interesting people – either of which will, hopefully, leave you with an experience you will remember fondly.
We do not allow people under 21 to camp on the farm. 5 miles south of the Spa Town of Tunbridge Wells.
Great Danegate Farm is within easy reach of London by road or rail (and is only 45 minutes from Brighton by road). The surrounding countryside is particularly fine, with excellent walks or cycling. There are numerous great pubs within a seven-mile radius, see local interests.
Mains cold water supply. No electricity, so remember your torch!
The Campfire Weekends Experience
- Quiet – the camping field is in a quiet corner with fine views, and bordered by woods on two sides.
- Campfires – bespoke log-burning BBQs may be hired.
- Communal – we have a bespoke communal log-burning campfire fitted with three independent grills on which anyone is free to cook.
- Relaxation – we have a number of pub garden-style bench/tables where people may gather to socialise, eat and drink or read the weekend papers.
- Eco-friendly – our sanitation facilities are designed to minimise the impact on the environment.
